Recently, however, you might have noticed that one of the brand’s cult-favorite products—Lush Sticky Dates Shower Gel—has been flying off the shelves even more frequently than usual. The reason? Love Island USA contestant Leah Kateb revealed it as a staple in her shower routine, causing the $13 product to sell out both in stores and online.
At the time of writing, all three sizes of Lush Sticky Dates Shower Gel—3.3, 8.4, and 16.9 fl. ounces—are out of stock. The brand has a note on its product page that says “fresh batch arriving soon.” While we impatiently await its return, consider Kateb’s glowing review: it “smells like everything good you can put together in this world,” making it a must-have if you’re a “vanilla girl.”

According to the brand’s website, its Sticky Dates-scented shower gel uses moisture-retaining organic date syrup, soothing sandalwood oil, and cleansing orange juice to hydrate and soothe your skin. And as promised by Kateb, it leaves a lasting, luxuriously sweet scent on your skin. (It also checks all her boxes when it comes to scent; she says gourmand fragrances are her thing.)

In the comments section, fans have shared their love for the shower gel, too. One person wrote, “They NEED to make a whole sticky dates line,” which has since garnered nearly 4,000 likes. Kateb even replied, writing, “RIGHT I wish they had a lotion or a perfume of it.” Rather miraculously, someone claiming to be a Lush employee wrote, “I work at Lush and thank you for making Sticky Dates go viral. Since Kateb shared her TikTok video in March, it has gone viral, garnering nearly 10 million views.
