Now that we’re at that sweet spot between the two seasons, more celebrities (and, yes, the rest of us) are embracing classic autumnal hues for their manicures. The latest to join the trend? Vanessa Hudgens, who turned to her go-to manicurist, Zola Ganzorigt, for glossy, almond-shaped burgundy nails that perfectly capture the season’s mood.
Ganzorigt shared an Instagram Reel of her client’s manicure, giving fans an up-close look at Hudgens’ ultra-long nails in all their glory. “Natural nail at its finest,” she wrote in the caption, surprising us all with their impressive length. She, too, knows there’s no escaping dark red nails right now, adding, “Burgundy nail saga continues.” And since fans were eager to know, Ganzorigt revealed that she used OPI’s Complimentary Wine Nail Lacquer ($12), described by the brand as a “rich and decadent red.”

Hudgens isn’t alone in embracing burgundy nails this season. Earlier this week, Anna Wintour was spotted with a pedicure in a similar hue. She enlisted celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik, who used Essie Nail Polish in the deep red wine shade named Bordeaux, which is another great choice if you’re thinking of recreating the look.
Burgundy has the nail expert seal of approval, too. Amy Lin, founder of Dear Sundays Nail Studio, shared with NewBeauty in a recent article on this season’s nail color trends, that burgundy is a top pick this season. “These shades bring those cozy, nostalgic vibes that remind us of rich red wines and warm sweaters,” she says. Because, honestly, is there anything more quintessentially fall than that?
