I want to relax the wrinkles on my face and make my skin look tighter, should I use a filler like Juvéderm or a relaxer like Botox? Are there other brands or things I should consider? What our experts say:
I think that it really depends on the depth of the wrinkles. There can be quite a distinct variety depending on that category but I usually would say that it's a combination of things for most people. I highly recommend younger people get involved with caring for their skin in their 20s. Neuromodulators including Botox and Dysport and some others to come can become important later. Typically in the 30s, the neuromodulaters can be used in certain parts of the face to prevent any of the wrinkles that are starting to occur from getting worse, and actually reversing them. As we continue down that aging path there's a lot of genetics involved with respect to where a person is going to see volume loss affecting her first. I really advocate if you want to be wrinkle-free you must be on a medical grade skin-care program taking care of your skin every day, integrating chemical peels, and neuromodulators and fillers add a lot as well. There's a synergy between all of it.

Does a facelift remove or reduce neck fat? What our experts say:
It depends on how it's done. It's definitely possible but every surgeon's approach to a necklift is not the same. It depends on the techniques utilized but it's absolutely possible, yes.
-
My mother has the classic turkey wattle below her chin, and I can see my skin getting a little loose, so I worry that I'm going to have the same. Do I do something like a necklift or a facelift early or wait until it gets bad? What our experts say:
Definitely start early. The earlier that you start to take care of yourself and prevent the aging process the better. I would say if you're young the most important things for a neck is protecting yourself from the sun and keeping your weight even. If you become overweight, particularly if you have a genetic predisposition to a heavy neck, you're going to carry a lot of fat in the neck area and stretch out the skin and once you get to that point there's no going back without surgery.

What's a good regimen for chemical peels? What our experts say:
Light chemical peels are appropriate for everybody. Everybody should be doing them and there's a variety of different types. I love doing glycolic peels because I get a lot of different benefits out of them without peeling. If you have melasma it's kind of better to do a little bit more aggressively with a peel involved. We have most of our patients on some type of prescription strength retinoid along with a glycolic and vitamin C based skin-care program. About every two months, a light chemical peel integrates beautifully into a daily medical grade skin-care program.

What is the average recovery time for fat transfer to correct under eye hallows? What our experts say:
I do not perform fat transfer. I feel it is unpredictable because some of the fat will die off and lead to asymmetries that are difficult to correct. Also fat transferred has the possibility of increasing in size in an unproportional way if the person who has had it done on themselves gains weight because the transferred fat will grow.
