When you hear the name, Sydney Sweeney, you’re probably picturing a blonde bombshell. But, she’s recently changed her hair color to a deeper and darker shade. Her natural color is actually brunette, which means darker shades suit her impeccably well. Celebrity colorist and Schwarzkopf Professional U.S. Trend Ambassador Jacob Schwartz is behind the switch-up. He calls Sweeney’s new color “dark suede blonde.” We think it will be the shade of the season.
Sweeney’s Dark Suede Blonde
Schwartz says the rich, luxurious tones of dimensional suede fabric inspired this color. “If you look at a suede bag or a suede shoe, it has that texture and dimension. It’s not dramatic, it’s quiet, but it’s there,” he says. See the shade here.
The shade blends cool ash with neutral tones to create a dark blonde with depth and dimension, says Schwartz. To get the look, he first added highlighting around the face with Schwarzkopf Professional Igora Vario Blond Super Plus. Then, he added lowlights with Igora Vibrance to boost the depth.
To finish up the color, he incorporated some darker roots, making the look more maintenance-friendly. This shade is great for anyone with naturally darker hair wanting a lighter, more dimensional color.
