It was a night of glitz, glam with a side of country grit and it wasn’t the first time at the rodeo for the ladies over 40 who graced the CMT Awards red carpet. Highlighting their signature features with glam looks we loved, these music legends commanded our attention and didn’t hold back for country’s biggest night of the year.
LeAnn Rimes
Rimes, 40, stunned in a Pamella Roland bejeweled gown and paired the sheer dress with soft mermaid waves.
Gwen Stefani
The Stefani signature red lip is no doubt a GXVE Beauty shade (our guess is Original Recipe) and the singer, 53, is serving it up with a gender bending mix of dapper meets go-go dancer. The Hollaback star performed at the awards show for the first time with singer Carly Pearce.
Alanis Morissette
Another first-time performer at the awards was Morissette, 48, who joined Ingrid Andress, Lainey Wilson, Madeline Edwards, and Morgan Wade on stage. Celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin used KIMIKO precision brow tools to give the singer natural-looking brow definition.
Wynonna Judd
Judd, 58, paired her velvet suit with shiny, sleek locks. The singer was nominated twice for performance of the year for The Judds’ Love Can Build a Bridge from last year’s show and for her Brandi Carlile duet The Rose. At this year’s show she performed a sentimental duet with Ashley McBride of Foreigner’s I Wanna Know What Love Is to honor her late mother Naomi.
Carrie Underwood
The 40-year-old Video of the Year nominee set social media ablaze with her sparkled jacket and short set that show off her amazingly toned legs. Fans went wild with comments like “legs for days” and “best legs in the business.”
Shania Twain
Proving that redheads have more fun, Twain, 57, told ET she decided on her look right before the show. “I kind of make decisions at the last minute, I’m enjoying that,” she shared. “I’m enjoying just being spontaneous and playing with color. I’m having a great time.”
