Ever since the brand’s launch in June of 2022, Hailey Bieber’s namesake brand, Rhode, has quite literally taken over the skin-care world. Both celebrities and fans alike can’t get enough of the brand’s glow-inducing, skin-hydrating products, which has been made clear by the almost-instant sell out every time a new product is released.
Until now, Rhode has focussed solely on skin-care products that help you to “glaze your skin” and rock a bare face with pride. From their iconic Peptide Glazing Fluid ($29) to their all-encompassing Rhode Kit ($95) all of the brand’s SKUs have shared the same goal: give you the glowing, glazed-donut skin of your dreams.
Most recently, Rhode has been making updates to their cult-classic Peptide Lip Treatment ($16), with new flavors like Salted Caramel, Watermelon, and even a limited-edition Strawberry Glaze in collaboration with Krispy Kreme. But, next week, the brand is taking their lip-loving formula to a whole new level and marking their official entrance into the world of color cosmetics with the launch of the Peptide Lip Tint ($16).
What is the Peptide Lip Tint?
Rhode’s iconic Peptide Lip Treatment can be seen in makeup cases, purses and photoshoot sets worldwide, and the brand’s new Peptide Lip Tint is upping the ante on this renowned product by adding color to their traditional, hydrating formula. Until now, Rhode has not featured any color cosmetic products, so the Peptide Lip Tint marks an important expansion for the brand.
Utilizing the same, nourishing formula as the OG Peptide Lip Treatment, the Peptide Lip Tint will be available in four, gorgeous shades—Espresso, Ribbon, Toast, and Raspberry Jelly—resulting in the most hydrating, softly naturally lips. Able to be used over lip liner or on their own, the Peptide Lip Tints are sure to become a bag staple in no time.
“The restorative formula leaves lips naturally plump, hydrated, and nourished from within,” the brand says, explaining that the lip tints are “fragrance-free with a touch of sweetness.” Not only do the lip tints provide an array of chic hues for the lips ranging from a deep brown to a ballet-slipper pink, they also incorporate tons of hydrating ingredients like shea butter, cupuaçu, babassu and, of course, peptides, to help fight dehydration, improve elasticity and support the skin microbiome.
Rhode Peptide Lip Tint Review
I was lucky enough to try the Peptide Lip Tints ahead of their launch, and I would go as far as to say I’ve never been more pleasantly surprised by a lip product. I’m a big fan of all of the Rhode products, so my hopes were high, but I’ve also had bad luck with lip products that promise both hydration and color and only deliver one or the other. But, I’ve tried all four shades of the new tint, and each one is shockingly pigmented, lasts multiple hours, and actually leaves my lips feeling soft and hydrated. Personally, I’m a fan of the Espresso and Raspberry Jam shades for my specific complexion, but I love to mix and match and even combine shades for lips that are juicy, colorful and most importantly, healthy.
