If you follow beauty editors or skin-care influencers, you know that the sign of a great product is using it to the last drop. If you rack up a lot of empties, you could be creating a lot of trash. Luckily, Nordstrom created BEAUTYCYCLE back in 2020. Now the company is making it even easier for you to recycle your empty beauty products by expanding BEAUTYCYCLE to Nordstrom Rack locations.
The beauty take-back and recycling program accepts all beauty packaging, regardless of where it was purchased. The addition of all Nordstrom Racks will more than double BEAUTYCYCLE drop-off locations.
According to a statement from Nordstrom, more than 120 billion units of plastic packaging are produced by the beauty industry alone, but less than nine percent get recycled. The company aims to take back 100 tons of packaging to be recycled by 2025.
Nordstrom is not only committed to sustainability when it comes to recycling but also in regards to packaging and ingredients. The company has a selection of products that meet its sustainability standards—so you can shop guilt-free.
