Located about 10 miles from downtown Seattle, SEVEN salon in Bellevue, WA is pretty much THE place to be on a Saturday. There’s a DJ, really good (and strong) coffee and a fleet of in-the-know, friendly stylists you can trust to always get whatever cut-color-style you want exactly right. The salon also has its own relatively off-the-radar line, with a not-so-shabby number of almost 40 SKUs, seven separate collections, and a new biotin supplement called Satara Opti ($45) launching now.
Chances are, even with all the positive offerings and super cool perks, you’ve probably never heard of the brand, but one celeb fan credits it to diminishing the dreaded “bad hair day.”

“I haven’t had a single bad hair day since I’ve started using SEVEN haircare. These products are luxurious and leave my hair soft and healthy,” says Portia de Rossi, who is the face of the brand’s new campaign. “I’ve never had such beautifully soft, manageable hair.”

Describing the products as “easy to use,” 45-year-old de Rossi pinpoints one specific collection—the keratin-packed, vitamin-rich Kente Bond line—for “letting her push creative boundaries” and allowing her to “stay as blond as she wants to be.”
“My hair was in a rough spot—I went super blond and it was already damaged from sun and swimming. The line makes a huge difference. My hair went from dry and brittle to buoyant and shiny almost immediately. The shampoo is moisturizing, the conditioner is really thick and feels almost like a hair mask rather than a daily conditioner, and the spray maintained the softness throughout the day.”

If de Rossi’s rave review doesn’t do it for you, maybe the brand’s commitment to total transparency in its botanical, sulfate-free formulations and unique fragrances will leave you convinced. They’re also set on continuing to develop, test and refine everything they create before it leaves the salon for the shelves so you can rest assured the products have been pretty much perfected before they touch your hair.
