One of the original reality TV stars, 35-year-old Paris Hilton may have starred in The Simple Life, but her real life isn’t actually so simple. Between her gig as a top female DJ and model and her entrepreneurial endeavors (she just launched her 20th fragrance, she’s involved in real estate—following in the footsteps of her great-grandfather, who founded Hilton Hotels—and she’s debuting a hair care line in Europe at the end of the year), she’s incredibly busy. Here, the heiress gives us a glimpse into her world.

NewBeauty: What makeup skills have you mastered over the years?
Paris Hilton: The makeup skills I love, I’ve definitely mastered. For instance, I’m really good at winged eye liner and lashes for a glam look.
NB: Are there any makeup looks you stay away from?
PH: I was at a photo shoot once where they bleached my eyebrows white. It was not cute; I will never do that again.
NB: You just launched your 20th fragrance! Did you do anything extra special for this one?
PH: So proud to be releasing my 20th fragrance, GOLD RUSH. I think all my perfumes embody me at each stage of my life. This perfume is a lot more mature and sophisticated. I wanted to make sure the bottle was different and stayed sexy to match the beautiful new scent.
NB: What are your can’t-live-without beauty essentials?
PH: I always need my ToGoSpa Green Tea Eyes eye masks.
NB: What is your before-bed skin care routine?
PH: I am obsessed with skin care; I have been since I was a teen. I start by washing off my makeup with cleanser, then I moisturize, and then I go to sleep with eye masks.
NB: What is your number-one guilty pleasure?
PH: I love watching The Simple Life. It always makes me laugh out loud with so many fun amazing memories.
NB: What are your must-have wardrobe staples?
PH: My J Brand black leather pants, my black Christian Louboutin stilettos, I love this sexy black body suit from La Perla, and my black leather Balmain jacket.

NB: What is your biggest beauty regret?
PH: Back before I did in home spray tans, I would use Mystic Tan, which was a room that would spray me from all sides. I look back and see the orange, which was not cute. I’m so glad they make custom tan colors now.
NB: What is one thing you want to do that you haven’t done yet?
PH: I’ve accomplished so much and done everything I’ve set my mind to. I’ve made my dreams happen. One area I have a focus on right now that is still in the works is the tech world and virtual reality space. So excited by all these ground-breaking and innovative projects I’m involved in.
NB: Aside from being a DJ, are there any other projects you’re working on that you’re excited about?
PH: I am super excited about my new real estate properties and my hair care line. I designed and created the most amazing curling iron, blowdryer and other hair products and I can’t wait for everyone to use them.
