It’s Met Monday, which means that all of our favorite A-listers are taking to the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, this year, in celebration of the life and legacy of Karl Lagerfeld. In addition to tons of archival looks that honored the late director of Chanel, the celebs in attendance also turned out some stellar makeup looks, including a ton of nude lips.
Emily Blunt
Blunt attended the gala on behalf of Michael Kors and rocked an entirely ILIA look, including the stunning, Color Block Lipstick ($28) in shade Tango. “We chose to mix the shades Tango and Ultra Violet and it’s my favorite part of this look” says makeup artist Jen Streicher.
Michaela Coel
In addition to her jewel-adorned dress, Met Gala co-host Michaela Coel rocked an equally stunning glam look, courtesy of Pat McGrath labs. Coel’s gorgeously understated lip was courtesy of the brand’s SatinAllure Lipstick ($30) in shade Veiled Rose.
Erin Lim
Inspired by a 2017 Maria Callas bridal look, Lim’s striking eyeliner was complimented by a soft, nude lip, created with a combination of three products: MAC Lip Pencil ($22) in Hover, Nars Satin Lipstick ($44) in Honolulu Honey and ROÉN Beauty’s Kiss My Liquid Lip Balm ($26) in Lola.
Rita Ora
The singer’s glam look consisted of voluminous waves, a smokey eye, sharp contour and, of course, a sleek nude lip courtesy of Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat ($25) in Foxy Brown and K.I.S.S.I.N.G in Penelope Pink ($35).
Kerry Washington
The Scandal star rocked a dramatic eye look and a stunning updo in addition to her sultry lip look thanks to Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide On Pencil ($25) in Nighthawk and MAC’s Powder Kiss Lipstick ($25) in Impulsive.
Emily Ratajkowski
Emrata’s lip combo is so iconic, it has it’s own place on Pat McGrath’s site. The Emrata Met Gala Lip Kit ($78) consists of the brand’s MatteTrance Lipstick in Nude Venus, LUST: Gloss in Dare To Bare and PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Nude Venus.
Dua Lipa
The MET host had her makeup done by Pat McGrath herself, and her gorgeous matte lip was courtesy of the brand’s MatteTrance Lipstick ($39) in Beautiful Stranger.
Olivia Wilde
Wilde’s makeup artist, Jo Baker, used Chanel’s Chantecaille Lip Chic ($42) in Patience layered with the brand’s Rouge Coco Flash ($45) in Deauville in order to create a “soft, warm sheer modern nude.”
Jessica Chastain
The A Doll’s House star shocked on the steps with a platinum blonde hair and an equally as striking glam look, rounded out with Charlotte Tilbury’s K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick ($35) in Bitch Perfect on the lips and just a touch of the brand’s Magic Lip Oil Crystal ($40) for just the right amount of shine.
Lizzo
Charlotte Tilbury lips were all over the carpet, and Lizzo was no exception, rocking a combo of the brands Lip Cheat ($25) in Pillow Talk Intense and K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick ($35) in Pillow Talk Intense.
Kate Moss
Another CT superstar to take the steps, Moss’ matte lip look was another a combo: Lip Cheat ($25) in Iconic Nude and Matte Revolution Lipstick ($35) in Supermodel.
