Mother of two Nicole Richie has come a long way from her days on The Simple Life. The boho-chic House of Harlow designer has adopted a more classic aesthetic look and she’s spilling the details on her favorite beauty essentials. In an interview with W Magazine, she talks about everything she uses on her face, what she packs in her carry on and the importance of drinking lots of water.

For her daily skin care needs, the starlet relies on the good stuff. “Biologique Recherche’s face wash, serum, and moisturizer and a mask a few times a week,” says Richie. Before applying her makeup she preps with the brand’s sunblock, Biologique Recherche Protection U.V. cream and covers and corrects with cult-favorite Clé de Peau Beauté concealer.

You can’t live a proper boho gypsy lifestyle without traversing from here to there. To get through the TSA line faster, Richie packs these must-haves in her carry-on: “I have a 15 minute regimen for the plane which includes but not limited to: Latex Gloves, EO Lavender Sanitizing Spray, Ponaris Nasal Emollient, Lucas Papaw Ointment, Emergen-C, my own tea, Biologique Recherche moisturizer and a face mask.”

Richie also stresses the importance of hydrating from the inside out. For her, good skin begins with what you put inside your body, as she says it’s all about “a good diet, drinking lots of water and grapeseed oil.”
