The beauty industry has no shortage of skin-care launches, which makes the battle for the spot of the number-one skin care brand in the country a competitive one.
According to research from Dermstore—the e-tailer also compiled Google searches from the past 12 months—there’s one skin-care brand that America calls a clear favorite, and it’s dermatologist approved.
Taking the number-one spot is SkinCeuticals, which topped online searches in a whopping 30 states in 2021. Second place is none other than drugstore staple CeraVe, which dominated searches in 15 states. Third place goes to EltaMD, the sunscreen favored by countless skin experts, then SkinMedica, another medical-grade skin-care brand coveted for its anti-aging lineup. The below visual highlights the most popular skin-care brand in all 50 states.
“It’s great to see that the U.S. consumer’s passion for education around finding the highest quality skin care has continued to grow,” says Lucy Calderbank, general manager of Dermstore, in a press release. ”As experts in beauty and skin care specifically, we aim to bring our customers a top-rated curation of the best in the market to help them navigate all things beauty and skin care with confidence.”
New to the country’s top brands? SkinCeuticals’ antioxidant-packed C E Ferulic ($166) lives up to the vitamin-C hype; CeraVe’s gentle-to-skin cleansers are viral on TikTok for a reason; EltaMD offers noncomedogenic sunscreens safe for use even after cosmetic treatments; and the growth factor–powered SkinMedica TNS Advanced+ Serum is a must-try for renewed, firmer-looking skin.
