When Minka Kelly showed off her beautiful glow in a stunning makeup-free Instagram this weekend, she shared the procedure that gave her that flawless skin.

“Sooo I like to say that I want to age gracefully,” she wrote in her Instagram caption. “But with a little assist ya know?” The actress credits her gorgeous glow to her time spent at Facile, a West Hollywood dermatology boutique.
“As of right now my girls @facileskin have been taking care of my face,” she wrote. She explained that she goes in to get microneedling done with platelet-rich plasma to improve “dull skin, fine lines and sunspots.”
You may know the platelet-rich plasma treatment (PRP) by it’s more popular name, the Vampire Facial. This procedure was put on the map a few years ago by none other than Kim Kardashian West. Done in tandem with microneedling, a PRP treatment uses a person’s own serum portion of their blood that has been spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the plasma. This technique helps promote healthy activity in skin cells to provide a smooth, glowing complexion.
Although Kardashian West has since expressed regret for getting this painful treatment done, Kelly has nothing but wonderful things to say about it. In her caption, she writes that she’s tried a lot of different things to get her skin to this point, but raved that this treatment made the biggest difference.
“So far this is my new fave and so are all the ladies that work there,” she wrote. “They’re patient and educate me with even the smallest and dumbest of questions which makes me feel safe.”
