Favorite product of all time:
Makeup Forever’s HD Liquid Foundation
For makeup, it has to be Makeup Forever’s HD liquid foundation with a matte finish. I’ve been using the foundation for four years straight and have turned so many friends on to it.
I find beauty inspiration in:
Décor and Instagram
Pretty much everything, but there’s something about décor and beauty that I draw a parallel to. Also, as cliché as it may sound, I can peruse Instagram all day and find the best makeup and hair looks that I want to recreate. When I see something that’s so beautiful, no matter what it may be, that I take it all in on every level, that’s truly inspiring.
Next up on my beauty shopping list:
A multitasking body lotion
I want a body lotion that hydrates, smells good and gets rid of razor burn–like bumps on my legs. I’ve found products that tackle each problem individually, but not one that addresses all three (or at least without irritating my skin).
The best beauty trick every woman should know:
How to work with second-day hair
You don’t have to wash your hair every day—nor should you—but you should know which styles work best for you and which products to use to make your hair look good, even if you didn’t just wash it. My go-to styles include a big bun, a messy top knot, and my new favorite, a half-up style a la JLo. A good teasing brush, dry shampoo and gel are also essential!

Favorite product of all time:
Revision IntelliShade
I have worn it every day for more than five years since I discovered it. It is the easiest way to do your makeup in the morning, while making sure you get your SPF. It always looks natural but not overdone—and it’s literally the only thing you need to put on before you walk out the door.
I find beauty inspiration in:
The Younger Years
I think everyone had that period before they hit the awkward years of puberty where they didn’t think about makeup or what they looked like, or even worried about appearances. For example, I have taken photos of my hair shade from back then to my stylist—the color then was so much better! There’s something sort of inspirational about remembering what you looked like before you started trying.
Next up on my beauty shopping list:
A cleansing brush
I have never owned a cleansing brush and I think it’s officially time for me to be the last person on earth to purchase one. I can’t tell you how many aestheticians and even dermatologists have told me I really need to get one.
The best beauty trick every woman should know:
Blow out your own hair
I feel like this space should be filed with something meaningful like, “Learn how to make someone laugh,” but, the truth is I really envy anyone who can blow out their own hair. I’ve been using hair-dryers for more than 25 years now and I still cannot dry my hair without breaking a sweat! Anyone who knows how to do their own hair well has the absolute best beauty trick in my book.

Favorite product of all time:
Retin–A
There’s nothing else that keeps my skin so youthful and glowing. A little bit at night is all I need and it’s also great at preemptively fighting wrinkles and hyperpigmentation.
I find beauty inspiration in:
Street style.
While models and celebrities are great to look at, I really like seeing how “real women” interpret beauty.
Next up on my beauty shopping list:
IOPE Air Cushion Compact
The cushion compact innovation from Korea is one of my favorite things at the moment—I’ve yet to find another foundation that gives such a flawless yet light and natural finish. IOPE is one of the popular brands in Korea at the moment and a favorite of many celebrities, so I’m dying to get my hands on one to try for myself.
The best beauty trick every woman should know:
Eyeliner
How to tightline for days if you want your eyes to pop naturally, and how to draw the perfect cat eye that’ll have everyone commenting on it.

Favorite products of all time:
Volumizing mascara and dry shampoo
I find beauty inspiration in:
Other women
I find it fascinating when women talk about their specific beauty concerns, especially when they get into the nitty-gritty about what works for them and what doesn’t. When friends come to me with beauty questions, I probably learn more from them than they do from me.

Bold nail colors for spring and anything coconut-scented
The best beauty trick every woman should know:
Using dry shampoo before bed
If I know that tomorrow means second-day hair, I plan ahead by using dry shampoo the night before. I’ve found that it helps manage oil production on my scalp while I sleep, and keeps the hair that touches my skin (around my face and neck) from becoming too oily. And did I mention the added root boost?

Favorite product of all time:
Klorane Dry Shampoo
Hmm, that’s tough, but honestly, the product I use the most and feel like is the biggest lifesaver is Klorane Dry Shampoo. It’s the best out there.
I find beauty inspiration in:
French New Wave cinema
I’m really into French new wave cinema at the moment. I love the hair, and the makeup, and just the way the actresses carry themselves.
Next up on my beauty shopping list:
Dior Cheek and Lip Glow
It looks so beautiful and I know it will be a spring essential.
The best beauty trick every woman should know:
Drink lots of water, eat green and exfoliate. Also, never underestimate the power and persuasion of a red lip.

Favorite product of all time:
Avon Cream-to-Powder Foundation
Finding the right shade of foundation for my skin has always been an issue, and this one from Avon blends in seamlessly with just the right amount of coverage. The formulation is also perfect for my combination skin–the cream goes on smooth without drying and the powder gives my shiny T-zone a matte finish.
I find beauty inspiration in:
Music
Music is a major part of my life, and depending on which song is on can determine my whole day sometimes! If it’s a rock kind of day, I’ll break out my dark liner and volumizing mascara. If I have a pop song playing while I’m getting ready, I’ll usually reach for a bright lipstick.
Next up on my beauty shopping list:
A curl-defining mousse
My fine curls needs a product that can hold my curls together without weighing them down or drying them out. I’ve only found one that is up to the job, but I’m on the hunt to try something new!
The best beauty trick every woman should know:
How To make your own tinted moisturizer
If you can’t find one that really suits your needs, or you simply ran out and don’t have time to buy one, you can make your own. Just add a tiny amount of your foundation into your moisturizer, give it a little mix in your hand and you’re good to go!

Favorite products of all time:
Chanel Le Crayon Khol in Noir and Chanel Demaquillant Yeux Intense Gentle Bi-Phase Eye Makeup Remover
Black eyeliner is my go-to, and I’m obsessed with this one from Chanel. It creates a perfect line—not too thick and not too thin—and goes on so smoothly. And I’d be lost without its counterpart, the Eye Makeup Remover. A few drops on a Q-tip and it’s like having a magic eraser. It’s also great for cleaning up smudges when I try to apply my makeup in a hurry.
I find beauty inspiration in:
Instagram
I love street style, so I get a ton of great ideas from the models and fashion and beauty bloggers I follow. It’s so much fun to put my own spin on my favorite looks.
Next up on my beauty shopping list:
NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Palais Royal
I love their lip pencils and I am dying for this totally-on-trend-for-spring deep berry hue!
The best beauty trick every woman should know:
Moisturize more than just your face!
I’ve applied Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotion all over after every shower since I was 16, and I get more compliments on how soft my skin looks and feels than anything else.
