Finding a good mascara is like winning the beauty lottery, and when you’ve tried what seems like every formula on the market, you know what works and what doesn’t. Meet L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara. At just $10, it packs a mean punch when it comes to getting longer, fuller, darker lashes. The formula glides on easily and gives good lash separation without any clumping. Also, no flaking throughout the day, which is super important. The brush is similar to Too Faced BTS—plush and wavy with more than 200 bristles (no wiry, spider-like bristles here)—and the blush pink color of the packaging is even comparable.
The noticeable differences: Too Faced BTS’s formula is denser and wetter (you can see more actual product on the brush when you pull it out, especially on the tip), and the tube is heavier in weight, so it feels a bit more luxurious. I also needed a few more coats with the L’Oréal formula to get the same look I achieved with BTS, but once I got it, my coworkers could hardly tell the difference between my lashes on either eye.
Voluminous Lash Paradise is currently available in five shades, including two waterproof ones, and will be launching another shade—Mystic Black (Carbon Black)—in September. If you’re looking for a new everyday mascara, stock up on this one! You won’t be disappointed.
