Lizzo is setting the record straight about her recent weight loss, confirming it’s all-natural. On Friday, September 20, the “Truth Hurts” singer took to Instagram, sharing a video of herself paired with the viral TikTok sound, “It’s like a reward.” The text overlay read: “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit,” clarifying that her transformation is the result of hard work in the gym.

In the post’s caption, she wrote, “oZeMpIc oR cOkE?”—quoting a fan. Lizzo even went so far as to screenshot the comment from a previous post and share the follower’s profile within the gallery. Clearly unbothered by the critics, Lizzo is defending her fitness journey, which she’s been documenting in recent posts. Fans have flooded the comments with support, including celebrity trainer Corey Calliet, who wrote, “Ozempic doesn’t get this credit 😤😉.” Another fan echoed, “People do realize you can lose good amounts of weight without drugs, right?”

Lizzo Shuts Down Ozempic Allegations

Lizzo’s post has also sparked debate among followers, with some feeling her message implies there’s something wrong with taking Ozempic for weight loss. “Why are we Ozempic shaming?” one person commented. Another asked, “I missed it. What’s wrong with Ozempic???” On the other hand, many are insisting that regardless of whether she used Ozempic, it’s no one’s business. “And even if it WAS Ozempic, IT’S OKAY!!!!!” one follower defended. Another chimed in, “Why can’t it be both?”
