Harnessing the oil as the star ingredient in hisLemongrass Hair and Scalp Treatment ($58) celebrity stylist Paul Labrecque thinks the naturally derived ingredient is stellar. “Lemongrass oil is ideal to use during spring and summer. Not only is the scent beautiful, but the oil also gets deep into the cuticle for thicker, less frizzy strands,” he says. An under-the-radar hair helper, lemongrass not only acts as a smoothing agent, but it’s also believed to strengthen hair follicles to help prevent hair loss. “Plus, when you steam the oil into the hair (steam towels can be used), everything is absorbed better into the hair. And a cold rinse helps lock it in so results can be seen and felt for weeks,” says Labrecque.
