The 58-year-old actress recently revealed a lengthy list of her essentials in an interview with The Strategist, covering everything from a zester she calls the “greatest thing in the world” to her favorite oat milk (giveaway: it’s Oatly). Kyra Sedgwick’s favorite eyelash curler
Sedgwick’s go-to eyelash curler is a cult favorite: the Shiseido Eyelash Curler. “I’ve actually been using this since the ’80s,” she told the outlet. It’s like I’m stuck in the ’80s and am hopeless in the makeup department. I don’t know how to put on makeup, but I do know how to curl my eyelashes and use mascara. I have really deep-set eyes, and this is the only lash curler that works for me. It can get into my eye socket (that sounds so gross) so I can curl right at the lash line. Also, Shiseido gives you a couple of extra rubber pads for it so you can use it for a long time. There are definitely some curlers are super-supercheap, but they’re not worth it. This one is.”

A newer favorite? Enter the Innersense Beauty I Create Curl Memory Gel. “It really helps tame frizz for curly hair whenever it’s humid out,” she said. “I just rub a little dab between my hands and give my curls a squeeze. It reminds me of the ’80s when scrunching your hair with mousse was a thing. It’s much stronger than you would imagine, but it’s a gel so your hair doesn’t actually feel crunchy. People are always asking me how I do my hair, and this is one of those things.”
Kyra Sedgwick’s favorite lip balm
Sedgwick’s top lip balm—the Nuxe Reve de Miel Nourishing Honey Lip Balm—comes with some interesting intel. “I don’t know if a lot of people know what camphor is, but it’s an ingredient in Carmex and a lot of other lip balms,” Sedgwick told The Strategist. “It’s actually a drying agent. I feel like it’s put in to make your lips drier so you get addicted to the lip balm and can’t do without it. This does not contain camphor and is made from all-natural ingredients. I found it while I was getting a facial one time, and I’ve been buying it since. It’s made from bees, and it doesn’t dry out my lips.”
