Just when we thought any increment of time on the StairMaster couldn’t get any more brutal, Kim Kardashian West’s rigorous workout routine proved us wrong. Yesterday, the mother of (almost) four posted a quick Instagram video of herself on the StairMaster with a resistance band around her thighs, understandably captioning it “I actually hate @fitgurlmel,” her trainer.
In response to the snap that left millions of fans wondering what else the 38-year-old celebrity’s workout entails, trainer Melissa Alcantara replied with all of the answers.

“She actually did 15-minute banded StairMaster,” said Alcantara with a shocked emoji indicating she knew it was a tall task. Following the 15-minute banded StairMaster, Alcantara says Kardashian West does five back-to-back rounds of 30 second dumbbell shoulder thrusts (with 10 pound dumbbells), a 30 second rest, then one minute of mountain climbers. “You’re a little beast,” she said of her celebrity client. “You killed it today.”
However, her body wasn’t sculpted overnight. In 2018, the Kardashian posted a love letter to Alcantara on her Instagram, stating, “Shout out to my trainer @fitgurlmel who really changed my body. When I wasn’t happy with what I saw back in the mirror I spent a whole year training so hard 5 or 6 days a week putting in a lot of work and changed the way that I eat and there’s such a noticeable difference. I am firm and [have] less cellulite and [am] so much more confident. SO THANK YOU for waking up at 5am to do crazy body building workouts & sprints that I hate & putting me on to this lifestyle.”
