While it’s hard to believe that celebrities don’t have their makeup artists in tow around the clock, Kim Kardashian West decided to live stream her beauty routine for her fans on her website, outlining each step and listing her favorite products—ranging from drugstore facial wipes to a $240 moisturizer—that she can’t be without. And though we can’t completely copy her $770 routine (a girl can dream), she shared some key pointers we can all use at home. Ahead, her top tip, products and techniques we’re making note of.
We have a well-documented love for skin care, primers and makeup-perfecting steps, and Kardashian West is no different. Her video begins with her pre-makeup prep, including her favorite Neutrogena Night Calming Face Wipes ($8) and La Mer The Perfecting Treatment ($240), which she says she uses as her moisturizer. For primer, she uses Guerlain Méteorites Base Perfecting Pearls Primer ($74). “I apply it all over my face. The pearls are iridescent, which makes your skin look amazing! It also helps even out your skin tone,” she wrote.

For foundation, Kardashian West applies a thin layer of Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer ($62). “This adds shimmer underneath the foundation because I just love a little extra glow,” she says. Before applying her main foundation, she uses Benefit Cosmetics High Beam ($26) for a hint of dew that looks lit from within. Next, she applies Giorgio Armani Crema Nuda Tinted Cream ($200) as her main foundation which she first applies to the back of her hand before applying all over her face and lips. “Always make sure you get the back of your neck,” she says, ensuring everything is the same shade for a super natural look.
Kardashian West then applies Kryolan Dermacolor Palette ($29), which she describes as a “really dry concealer” under her eyes, on the top of her nose and above her lip for a contouring effect. “Lately, as I’m getting a little older, I have lines here [speaking of her nasolabial folds], so I just fill it in with concealer and it really does the job,” she explains, following this up with Make Up For Ever’s Full Cover Concealer ($34) and Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector ($41), ensuring each one is thoroughly blended in with a beautyblender ($20). After everything is blended in, she “bakes” her under-eye concealer with a pink powder and her lower concealer with a yellow powder—not brushing it away yet—to keep it looking bright and crisp.

While the powders are baking, she moves onto her eye makeup, using LORAC “Superstar” Baked Eye Shadow Trio ($27) for a bronze look.
For her famous contour, Kardashian West explains you should always start on the forehead around the perimeter of the hairline for an extra-natural look. “It makes your forehead look smaller, too,” she says. Moving onto her cheeks next, she uses a round, fluffy brush to sculpt her famous cheekbones. Once the contour is finished and her brows are filled in—she praises brow guru Anastasia for her shape—she brushes away her baking powder and applies a touch of highlighter underneath her eyes (where you would apply concealer in a “U” shape) for her signature bright-eyed look.

For mascara, she layers a few different formulas, her go-to finishing layer being Kevyn Aucoin’s The Volume Mascara ($28). “I love a clumpy bottom,” she says of her easy-to-recreate lower lash line must. She then cleans up some smudging (it happens to all of us) from applying mascara with a handy Q-tip and applies some of her contouring bronzer to the lids for an easy way to clean up while also tying the whole makeup look together. For the finishing touch, she mixes together “Candy K” by Kylie Cosmetics ($29) “Chelsea Girls” by NARS ($26) for a pop of gloss to create the nude pout she’s known for. Intrigued?
