With two films releasing—she’s the lead in the drama Perfect Addiction and has a supporting role in Brother—Fear Street’s Kiana Madeira is ready to take on spring. In between the busyness, the actress sat down with us to talk self-care, wellness and her tiny Armani Beauty obsession.
You have multiple projects hitting right now. What are you most excited to share with fans?
“Yes! I have two films, Perfect Addiction, and Brother, premiering in March, and I am most excited for fans to experience the two completely different characters I play in them. Perfect Addiction is centered around my character, Sienna Lane, who is overcome by her need for revenge, while my character, Aisha, in Brother, is the film’s light which strives to bring peace and healing to those in her life. I am excited to share these contrasting energies with fans. Oh! I am also very excited to share the MMA training I did to bring Sienna Lane to life.”
Do you have any glam moments you can share with us from the on-set?
“A real glam moment in Perfect Addiction is when my character, Sienna, attends her friend’s wedding as a bridesmaid. Sienna is an MMA trainer; for most of the film, I am bare-faced and completely natural. When the time to shoot the wedding scenes came around, the girls from the makeup department and I were excited to glam it up! They blow-dried my hair and added extensions; I got to wear lashes, eyeshadow, and even a little facial highlight and contour. It was lovely.”
Do you have any “holy grail” products that you found out about on set?
“I was introduced to Benefit’s Gimme Brow + Volumizing Eyebrow Gel ($26) on set and have never looked back. It is my go-to. I also discovered a foundation while on set—although I’ve tried others since, I keep returning to this one. It’s Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation ($69). It’s very lightweight and gives a natural glow that I love. Giorgio Armani doesn’t just make a great foundation—they have also lured me in with the best-smelling fragrance, My Way. My co-star in Perfect Addiction, Bree Winslow, came to set wearing it, and it was love at first smell for me. I always have at least two bottles in my vanity!”
What beauty, skin care, and wellness items are you enjoying right now?
“I am currently obsessed with Alicia Keys’ skin-care line, Keys Soulcare. I am using the Golden Cleanser With Manuka Honey ($22) and the Skin Transformation Cream With Bakuchiol ($32). I’ve always looked up to Alicia as a woman in the entertainment industry; I am inspired by how she uses her skin-care line to promote positive affirmations and self-love. The products are incredible, and I feel super soft and moisturized after using them! Regarding wellness, I have developed a daily meditation and prayer practice that does wonders for my mental health and overall well-being. There’s so much chaos in the world—finding a space mentally where I can be still and sit with myself is much needed.”
