Kelsea Ballerini is on fire. The co-host of tonight’s CMT Awards—and recipient of the show’s Performance of the Year Award—recently announced she’ll be opening for the Jonas Brothers this summer and fall, but the star shines on her own, as seen in tonight’s standout performance of her new single “I Quit Drinking” and multiple outfit—and glam—changes.

While the country singer’s looks ranged from bright-pink pleather to a show-stopping sapphire gown with matching shadow to boot, her skin looked flawless throughout her countless switch-ups. Responsible for Ballerini’s glam tonight is her long-time makeup artist Tarryn Feldman, who shared her complexion-perfecting secrets with NewBeauty.
To keep the star’s skin radiant and glowy yet matte and poreless, Feldman relied on a cocktail of different products backstage. “I used a mix of IT Cosmetics CC Cream ($39.50), NARS Concealer ($30) and Tom Ford Bronzer ($70) on her skin,” says Feldman.
More makeup favorites can be spotted in a behind-the-scenes snap posted by the Feldman on Instagram prior to the show. Among them: KISS My Lashes But Better falsies ($5), an Artis Oval 8 Brush for a smooth foundation finish, and (our favorite) nude-lipsticks galore, including Fenty Beauty’s Stunna Lip Paint ($25) and Tom Ford’s high-shine Gloss Luxe ($55) for a camera-ready pout.
But all the makeup in the world won’t make a difference if the skin beneath it isn’t cared for. Luckily, Ballerini recently spilled her skin-care routine in an interview with NewBeauty. She says she is “religious” about using a vitamin C serum in the morning, pegging SkinPharm’s Glow Factor ($150) as “the most potent vitamin C” she’s ever used. “You put it on and you feel your skin just tighten up and get really glowy and I love glowy skin,” she says. “I use that every morning and I swear by it.”
Another “die-hard” skin-care product in the singer’s regimen: OSEA’s hyaluronic acid serum, used twice a day. “Then I’ll do a scrub once a week. I do these clarifying pads once a day that have salicylic and glycolic acid in them and I wear sunscreen religiously,” she says. “I’m pretty crazy about my skin now.”
