Kelly Osbourne has once again clarified rumors surrounding her weight loss, denying rumors of using Ozempic, a Type 2 Diabetes medication used off-label to aid in weight loss—and well-loved in Hollywood circles. In a recent interview with Extrathe 39-year-old reality star addressed the allegations, stating her 85-pound weight loss wasn’t the result of weight-loss injections.

“I know everybody thinks I took Ozempic,” she told the outlet. “I did not take Ozempic. I don’t know where that came from. My mom [Sharon Osbourne] took Ozempic.”

Rather than turning to weight-loss medication, The Osbournes star told Extra that she “cut out sugar and carbohydrates,” which caused her to “rapidly lose weight.” She also admitted trying Emface and Emsculpt NEO treatments for muscle-toning on her face and body to target areas of the skin that looked like it “lost its elasticity.”

Osbourne’s weight-loss journey has been an ongoing process. In a sit-down interview with NewBeauty in December 2022, the mom of one opened up about the changes she made to her diet after giving birth.

“When I first found out I was pregnant, I thought I would have the type of pregnancy where I could eat whatever I wanted,” she said. “I started to gain a lot of weight quickly and my feet began to swell up. That is when I found out I had gestational diabetes and had to completely change my lifestyle,” she says.

“Now, I have cut out refined sugar altogether and have lost 10 pounds!” she said at the time. “I feel better than ever and I have tons of energy. I feel happy and healthy!”

Fast forward to December 2023, Osbourne admitted that she might have taken her weight-loss journey too far. During an episode of Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay’s Scheananigans podcast, she confessed: “I had been on a mission after having the baby to lose all [my] baby weight. Then I was like, ‘Well, I lost all the baby weight. Let’s see how far I can go with it.’ And then went a little too far.”

Prior to making those dietary changes, Osbourne had gastric sleeve surgery, which set her on the path to her 85-pound weight loss.

“I had surgery; I don’t give a f— what anyone has to say,” she said on the Hollywood Raw podcast in 2020. “I did it, I’m proud of it, they can suck s—. I did the gastric sleeve. All it does is change the shape of your stomach. I got that almost two years ago. I will never ever ever lie about it ever. It is the best thing I have ever done.”

“The kind of surgery I had… if you don’t work out and you don’t eat right, you gain weight,” she continued. “All it does is move you in the right direction,” she said. “So, anyone who’s thinking of doing something like this, really think about that.”

“Now that I’ve lost weight, everybody is criticizing and trying to figure out what it is that I’ve done, and I really just lost some weight,” Osbourne told The Daily Mail that same month.

“And everyone knows that I had weight-loss surgery, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made,” she added. “But there’s this whole thing about it, “well you didn’t do it the right way. There is no right way.”
