Kate Moss is the epitome of ageless beauty. At 46 years young, the supermodel looks as radiant as she did in the 90s. Her secret might have something to do with her daily wellness and beauty routine. In a conversation with Elle UK, the British-born face of Decorté Beauty brought us inside her everyday regimen and reminds us that sometimes, and especially in her case, less is more.
On the Clock
The once party animal says her day begins around 8 a.m each morning, and ends around 11 p.m., squeezing in an episode of Sex Education on Netflix before dozing off. “I’m a bit groggy in the afternoon if I don’t get eight hours’ sleep,” she adds. Her first order of business in the morning: hot water and lemon. “I try to have that first, and follow it up with a coffee.”
Everyday Beauty
Moss’ daily makeup look consists of four simple steps. “[It] tends to be a bit of cover-up, then whatever bronzer I have lying around, a Decorté lipstick as a stain, and I curl my eyelashes to finish.”
As simple as it may be, Moss admits to forgetting to take her makeup off before bed, counting it as her worst beauty habit. “I hate how it feels in the morning,” she says.
Sweat Sesh
The supermodel’s fitness routine starts in the morning with yoga, complete with her own instructor who travels to her home. “I also have a mini gym with a Peloton bike, which I don’t use very often! It’s quite hardcore but my brother loves it.”
Skin-Care Staples
Kate’s skin-care routine is quick and effective: cleanse and hydrate. “But when I’m on holiday and have more time, I go wild,” she says. “My daughter and I do beauty routines with all the serums and masks.” Her go-to moisturizer: Decorté‘s AQ Meliority Cream. “It’s rich but instantly sinks in to give skin a velvety finish.” As for her ultimate beauty secret, it’s none other than sunscreen. “I love La Roche-Posay Anthelios Fluid SPF 5O+ ($30), as you can wear it under makeup.”
Secret Weapon
Some celebrities keep a spare lipstick in their purse; Moss says she keeps a jade roller ($30) with her wherever she goes. “I love it for under my eyes; it irons them out a bit,” she says. “I keep one in my bag—when I’m bored, I just start rolling!”
Tone It Up
Crediting massages and facials as her ultimate beauty indulgence, Moss’ last beauty treatment was a Brazilian lymphatic drainage massage. “It was insane. I don’t know what she did, but I came out feeling half the size.”
