Her loose red waves, fresh-faced look and megawatt smile are just a few of the things that make Julia Roberts one of the most striking women in Hollywood, or anywhere for that matter. So it comes as no surprise that People has named her (for a record fifth time!!) the World’s Most Beautiful Woman for 2017, and not just for her good looks, but also her inner beauty. So what does the star attribute to her wrinkle-free skin, youthful glow and healthy outlook? We’ve got it all right here.

She’s totally comfortable going makeup-free.
Roberts, who has been photographed several times sans makeup in public, told Good Housekeeping that she never wears makeup when she’s not working. She also takes pride in her face-wash routine (every morning and night), which she has said helps preserve her youthful-looking skin.
She has a loyal glam squad.
Roberts has had the same hairstylist (world-renowned Serge Normant) and makeup artist (insanely talented Genevieve Herr) for more than 20 years. Because of this, she’s been able to really maintain her signature look and not stray too far from what makes her beautiful and true to herself.
She exercises, even though it’s not her favorite thing to do.
In an interview with Elle, celebrity trainer Kathy Kaehler said Roberts (who has admitted she doesn’t particularly enjoy exercising, but likes the strength and sense of accomplishment she gets from it) switches up her fitness routines based on her current acting gig. And to get ready for press tours, she’s been known to do “20–40 minutes of step aerobics and up to 40 minutes of body work—lunges, crunches, planks, push-ups—after.”
Her skin care routine isn’t complicated.
In an interview with Viva, Roberts details her everyday beauty regimen: “When I’m not in a rush, I use Lancôme’s Mousse Radiance Clarifying Self-Foaming Cleanser and Hydra-Intense Masque. So if I’m living in the lap of luxury, that’s what I like to do. But on a regular day, I’ll just wash my face and apply sunblock.”

She watches what she eats.
“I’m mainly gluten-free,” Roberts told Viva. “I just try to eat well and be conscious. I go for organic. It’s kind of a bummer that we live in a country where eating healthy food is a luxury.”
She doesn’t give away all of her beauty secrets.
The actress told Allure that if she’s going out with her husband, she doesn’t like him to come in the bathroom when she’s doing her makeup. “You don’t want them to know exactly what it is that you’ve done—just that you look nice.”
