No stranger to a good action role, the former Alias and Elektra star has been documenting the workout routine that is transforming her body for Peppermint, her next action film. Over the last few months, the 45-year-old actress has shared videos on Instagram of her grueling workouts and the fruits of her labor were evident on the Oscar stage where her super toned arms were proudly on display.

Working with celebrity fitness trainer Simone De La Rue, Garner has been preparing for her stunt work in the film using a mix of various workouts that include boxing, kickboxing, body weight exercises, hand weights, trampoline work and tons of cardio. “Recipe for Turning a Mom Back into an Action Lady,” wrote the actress late last year, “Take one mama, Add a daily dose of 1 hr of @bodybysimon, 1.5 hr Stunt Team, 50 cups of coffee and 3 min Cryotherapy.”

The high intensity workouts have certainly paid off as evident by the strong, toned physique she flaunted on Oscar night. Peppermint, a John Wick-style revenge story with a female twist, is slated to be released later this year. By the looks of it, Garner, with her revenge-ready body, is more than prepared to reclaim her action star status.
