We already knew Jenna Dewan was a fitness junkie (just look at her intense workout routine), but we didn’t realize the star is just as serious about nutrition as she is fitness. In a recent Instagram selfie, Dewan revealed to her followers that she’s added a new health-boosting drink to her routine and we couldn’t be more intrigued.

“Bottoms up! @medicalmediumtells me celery juice first thing in the morning on an empty stomach for anti inflammation, healthy gut, immune boost goodness ? anyone else trying this too?” Dewan captioned the post, revealing a makeup-free face in the image.
Surprisingly, Dewan isn’t the only celebrity to swear by celery juice. Kim Kardashian West recently revealed she’s also drinking it to aid in healing her psoriasis.
So, is this drink all it’s cracked up to be? Here’s the real deal: It’s hard to say for certain. Celery is high in vitamin K, vitamin C and fiber which all carry obvious health benefits, however, whenever you turn a vegetable into a juice you strip away some good-for-you components while upping the sugar content. Ultimately, there hasn’t been much research done on the benefits of celery juice, so before you jump on this trend, talk to a physician about your health goals and diet needs.
