Complexion perfectors like tinted moisturizers, CC creams and skin tints are stealing all the room on our vanities, but one that’s stolen our hearts is the ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 ($48). According to the brand, we’re not the only ones stockpiling the lightweight essential, as the product has just surpassed one million units sold.
Clean, lightweight and skin-boosting, this tint leaves the complexion looking nothing short of glow-tastic, all thanks to a blend of skin-care actives like zinc oxide, squalane and shea butter. It’s also free of silicone, fragrance and oil. The true liquid formula can be blended with your fingertips or a brush, and can be layered for more coverage.
Although the serum is popular for its skin-perfecting abilities, it also goes towards a good cause. In September, the brand announced that one percent of all sales from its Skin Tint will go towards 1% For The Planet. Its goal: to plant 1 million trees by the end of 2023.
“Complexion is a very emotional category because everyone wants to have clear skin,” CEO Lynda Berkowitz tells Glossy. “It’s a very personal thing, so to have half our business in complexion shows consumer trust. Our focus has been on how to continue to introduce customers to the Super Serum Skin Tint, growing that franchise and continuing to build that credibility and loyalty.”
