Hailey Bieber has a knack for turning niche manicure trends into viral sensations. Take her “farmer’s market manicure” from this summer, for example. Her now-iconic nail art, brought to life by celebrity manicurist Zola Ganzorigt (@nailsbyzola)—took the internet by storm. The playful design featured a natural base adorned with tiny, hand-drawn fruits and veggies scattered across each nail. According to a Fresha study, the look fueled a staggering 350 percent spike in searches for “Hailey Bieber nails.” Now, with fall in full swing, it seems another one of her nail designs is destined for the spotlight. Enter, “martini nails.”
Ganzorigt created this look, too, for Bieber’s 28th birthday on November 22. In a series of photos shared on Instagram, fans got an up-close look at the manicure, which featured her signature long almond shape, a soft sky-blue base and pimento-stuffed green olives painted as accents on her middle finger and pinky. Ganzorigt hasn’t revealed the exact polish shade she used for the base or the technique for the tiny stuffed olives, but fans are flooding the comments section, begging for the details. “Please give us a tutorial or share colors, please,” one fan wrote, which echoed sentiments shared by several others.
Bieber’s new manicure aligns perfectly with a trend we expect to dominate this fall and winter: cocktail-inspired manicures. It’s a theme that’s been making the rounds on Pinterest and now, thanks to Bieber, it’s evidently making its way to Hollywood—and beyond. While martini nails are an obvious standout, other variations on our radar include espresso martini nails, Moscow mule nails, spiked cider nails, or, honestly, whatever libation you can dream up.
