Glossier has been one of the most popular beauty brands among Millennials, Gen Z and the chronically online. It was recently reported to be one of the top beauty brands in the world. Many of their products have become cult favorites, with much of social media consistently posting the colorful, playful goodies. Next to Cloud Paint, I’d dub Glossier Balm Dotcom among the most beloved of Glossier’s products, and now it’s just gotten a major upgrade.
“The Glossier community had been vocal about their desire for the do-everything lip balm to have a no-touch applicator,” says the brand. They note that these request have increased dramatically since the pandemic. Glossier delivered on that request and another big one.
The brand acknowledged the community’s desire for a fan favorite flavor, Wild Fig, to make a comeback. The jammy coral tint is now a fixture in the brand’s permanent collection. However, this means Cherry is being kicked to the curb.
Glossier also revamped the formula to be vegan. In place of petrolatum, lanolin, natural beeswax and preservative BHT, there is now a plant-based multi-functional emollient blend, synthetic beeswax and castor jelly with some extra vitamin E added.
