The 62-year-old icon that is Gina Gershon has been gracing our screens since the ’80s and let’s just say, we’ll have whatever she’s having. As shared in a recent interview with The Strategist, Gershon isn’t one to safeguard her skin care, as she gave the details on her very specific serum-oriented routine.
“This is just a really great brand,” Gershon said about the ever-popular SkinCeuticals. “It’s expensive, but it’s what makes my skin look the best. People are always asking me what I do to my skin. I don’t use cream, because I can’t with my skin. I only use serums, and this is the one I use every day. I don’t leave home without it on my face. I wake up, apply it under just a little bit of makeup, and my skin looks refreshed.”
The serum getting Gershon’s praise: None other than SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic ($182), the super product praised by many for its firming and brightening properties.
“SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic is one of my holy grail vitamin C serums (it ranks supreme for pretty much every beauty editor),” says NewBeauty’s beauty director Britt Fallon. “It’s also beloved by dermatologists and aestheticians for cracking the antioxidant code, which is essential for fighting free-radicals and preventing skin aging. Its patented formula has been mimicked by numerous brands, but there’s a reason people keep coming back to this tried-and-true serum: RESULTS. Whether your skin is dry, normal or combination, in just a few weeks of use, the science-backed skin brightener will impart a glow like you’ve never experienced before.”
Also on Gershon’s can’t-leave-home-without-it list: The under-the-radar L’Oeil du Vert Perfume Scents. “I can’t leave home without these. They calm me down because they’re very grounding. They also smell delicious, so they’re my favorite oils to put on. They’re organic without any synthetic ingredients. I use several different ones depending on my mood, the time of day. I don’t even know the actual names of them, because I’ve been wearing them for so long and I’ve made up my own nicknames for each of them.”
