When beauty events have to go virtual, there’s only one thing to do: Make them better than they’ve ever been. This past Wednesday, we hosted thousands of our readers and colleagues to watch our favorite founders, partners and creators talk us through their best-selling products in what can only be described as the beauty party of the year. Brands like Dr. Dennis Gross, Moroccanoil and Giorgio Armani connected with us live on the big screen, sharing their most coveted tips and giving away products to lucky winners along the way. Best of all? Our viewers got more than a handful of promo codes and had the chance to purchase a box filled with each brand’s products to open during the presentation. Let’s take a peek at just some of the goodies inside.
Giorgio Armani
Guest Speaker: Tim Quinn, celebrity face designer for Armani Beauty and member of NewBeauty’s Brain Trust
Featured Product: Lip Maestro Liquid Matte Lipstick in Shade 522 ($38)
Product Rundown: “This is our number-one, best-selling lip product,” Quinn says. “What I love about it is that it gives you hydration while still being long-wear. It really gives you pigment that doesn’t wear off.
Our favorite part? The shade range is wide enough to tick any beauty lover’s box, no matter your skin tone or preferences.
Grande Cosmetics
Guest Speaker: Alicia Grande, founder of Grande Cosmetics
Featured Product: Plumping Liquid Highlighter ($25)
Product Rundown: The highlighter that’s suitable for all ages and skin types, Grande Glow is pinned as one of the most universal beauty products you can find.
“This is so much more than a highlighter,” says Grande. “It’s moisturizing your cheeks, plumping them, and giving them an instant lift all at the same time. It also has a cooling sensation on the skin, which is from Swiss Alp grapes.”
Doll 10
Guest Speaker: Leigh Griffin, CMO of Doll 10
Featured Product: Doll Skin Complexion Enhancing Palette ($46)
Product Rundown: “Inside this palette, you’re going to get every single thing that you need to chisel, sculpt, highlight and bronze your skin,” Griffin says. She continued by demonstrating how to get the Doll 10 glow on her own cheeks (which looked beautifully golden and defined when she finished).
The powders are also formulated with clean ingredients, including aloe extract, willow bark and Persian silk.
Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare
Guest Speaker: Renee Bolen, global director of client experience at Dr. Dennis Gross
Featured Product: Hyaluronic Marine Meltaway Cleanser (launches August 30th)
Product Rundown: “My favorite thing about this cleanser is that there’s no sticky residue leftover on my skin,” says Bolen. “This cleanser is tough on makeup, but it’s so gentle on the skin due to hyaluronic acid, which holds a thousand times its weight in water.”
Fun fact: The cleanser doesn’t require any water to activate!
Dr. Brandt Skincare
Guest Speaker: Linda Popowytsch, global marketing director at Dr. Brandt
Featured Product: Cool Biotic Prebiotic Redness Relief Cream ($55)
Product Rundown: “Redness is the first visible sign of irritated and inflamed skin, so the cannabis sativa seed oil will really help balance and reduce these signs of sensitivity,” says Popowytsch. “It also has a great cooling effect—but keeping it in a refrigerator makes those effects even stronger.”
Doctor Rogers Skincare
Guest Speaker: Dr. Heather Rogers, Founder and CEO of Doctor Rogers
Featured Product: RESTORE Healing Balm ($30)
Product Rundown: This healing balm is a product of care: “I wanted to make a product that I felt comfortable recommending to my patients,” says Rogers. “It really does heal everything (we’re talking sunburns, rashes and chapped lips) for the whole family—and everything about this product is food-grade.”
Moroccanoil
Guest Speaker: Robert Ham, VP of global education for Moroccan Oil
Featured Product: Protect and Prevent Spray ($28)
Product Rundown: “This is a must-have for the summer because the heat makes color fade. We wanted to produce something that would protect from the environmental factors that break the hair down—this does just that,” Ham says.
Bonus: You can reapply this all throughout the day as you’re at the beach, in your backyard or strolling down the boardwalk.
Klorane
Guest Speaker: Adam Maclay, celebrity hairstylist
Featured Product: Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk-Loose Powder Formula ($20)
Product Rundown: “The non-aerosol is one of my all-time favorites because it has oat milk in it—it’s a plant-based formula that works for all hair types,” says Maclay. “Hold the product ten inches away and give yourself a good squeeze (if you squeeze the bottle, the powder comes out onto the hair).”
PiperWai
Guest Speaker: Sara Ribner, CEO and co-founder of PiperWai
Featured Product: PiperWai Natural Deodorant Stick ($17)
Product Rundown: “It’s made with activated charcoal but rubs in completely clear on the underarms,” says Ribner. “It’s superabsorbent, great for neutralizing odor and it protects your clothing against perspiration.” Best of all, just one or two swipes goes a long way!
Sunday Forever
Guest Speaker: Lara Eurdolian, NewBeauty Brain Trust member and founder of Pretty Connected
Featured Product: Air Detox Mist ($24)
Product Rundown: Spray this in a room and you have an instantly calming scent. “For someone who lives a stressful lifestyle, this and a glass of wine is all I need,” says Eurdolian.
Daily Concepts
Guest Speaker: Emilio Smeke, CEO of Daily Concepts
Featured Product: Daily Amethyst Facial Roller ($40)
Product Rundown: “Amethyst is a precious stone, so if you want to have a connection with your inner self and open up your intuition chakra, this is the stone for you,” Smeke explains. According to Smeke, the stone works the same as jade, but will bring you a better connection with yourself—and it works with any skin-care regimen.
Footnanny
Guest Speaker: Gloria Williams, founder and CEO of Footnanny
Featured Product: Footnanny Rescue Buffer Duo ($15)
Product Rundown: A dry brush for the feet, these buffers are meant to be used pre-soak. “Take the more coarse side and buff down towards the bottom of your foot in one direction and then flip it over and smooth it out with the other side,” Williams shares.
Glytone
Guest Speaker: Josh Taylor, Glytone educator
Featured Product: Hydra lipid UV Mineral Sunscreen ($36)
Product Rundown: Mineral sunscreens get a bad rep for leaving a white cast, but this will be your skin’s new best friend. “The great thing about this is that you see that there’s mineral in there but it’s sheer and colorless. Even on dark skin, it disperses gorgeously,” says Taylor.
Plus, besides being a powerful SPF, the multitasking formula gives skin a drink of water and the necessary lipids it needs without the clogging or streaking—all while it protects from blue light.
Éminence Organic Skin Care
Guest Speaker: Brian Goodwin, Éminence international educator
Featured Product: Citrus & Kale Potent C+E Serum ($110)
Product Rundown: The incredibly powerful antioxidant serum is proven to reduce free-radical damage by 47 percent in just three hours, according to Goodwin. “We also paired it with extra antioxidants like ferulic acid to boost it and take it even further.”
C.O Bigelow
Guest Speaker: Lara Eurdolian, NewBeauty Brain Trust member and founder of Pretty Connected
Featured Product: Antibacterial Hand Sanitizer ($6)
Product Rundown: Perfect for the constant hand-washing taking place in today’s current climate, this hand sanitizer is designed to keep us safe with 70-percent alcohol.
NIGHT
Guest Speaker: Lara Eurdolian, NewBeauty Brain Trust member and founder of Pretty Connected
Featured Product: Silk Face Mask ($55)
Product Rundown: Perfectly chic for any occasion, this soft mask pairs perfectly with all outfits and feels luxurious on the skin (plus silk helps the skin to stay healthy and smooth).
By Terry
Guest Speaker: Terry de Gunzburg, founder of By Terry
Featured Product: Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder ($60)
Product Rundown: Terry told us all about her newest launch: The Hyaluronic Pressed Powder, which is based off the millions of positive reviews that the Hydra-Powder received. “This will give the perfect matte finish, without the white veil,” she says.
