Smoky Eyes With a Metallic Twist
“This season, smoky eyes with a touch of metallic color such as gold or copper work best,” explains lead makeup artist on Project Runway, Hector Simancas. “Create a typical black smoky eye and add a touch of your favorite metallic color in the center of your eyelids.”
Graphic Eyeliner
“Try rebellious and graphic eyeliner,” says celebrity makeup artist Kyriaki Savrani. “One of my favorites is the L’Oréal Infalliable Blackbuster Eyeliner ($10).”
’60s Lashes
“Heavy mascara on the top and bottom is a great way to accentuate your eyes,” explains Simancas. “Think of ’60s big, long, full lashes when doing it yourself.” For an extra lash boost, try falsies like Kiss True Volume Lashes ($4).
Goth Lips
“Vampish, bewitching, bold lip colors in dark shades like burgundy, deep berry, purple, and plum are perfect for fall,” says Savrani. “I love the Maybelline New York Color Sensational Loaded Bolds ($8 each), especially in Violet Vixen.”
Two-toned Blush
“When the weather starts to get cold and we all lose our summer tan, bring the blush back,” says Simancas. “Try a monochromatic look with blush on the cheeks and eyes, and use different tones. Mix the colors together, like pink and peach or lavender and orange.”
