We’ve always wanted the inside scoop on Emma Roberts’s beauty routine—her lineup must be so intricate to have skin that’s as flawless as hers. Surprisingly, as she told Harper’s Bazaar, she lives by a “‘less-is-more’ mantra,” swearing by Chanel Le Volume De Chanel Mascara ($32), a spritz of her favorite Boss Alive Fragrance ($98)—which she is the newest face for— and a heaping handful of hair vitamins.
She also shares that her skin-care outlook was influenced by her aunt—as in the one-and-only Julia Roberts—who taught her that “beauty is health.” To that end, she starts every day by washing her face: “I like to use a deep-cleaning, make-up melting cleanser,” Roberts said. She continues by grabbing her daily moisturizer and eye cream. “I love the Drunk Elephant Eye Cream ($64) and the Dr. Barbara Sturm product range. Anything with hyaluronic acid in it interests me too, as I like to keep my skin really hydrated.”

Although she has her at-home skin-care on lock, she keeps her go-to spas on speed dial: “Tracie Martyn is a brilliant facialist, as is Melanie Grant, and I love to visit the Biba salon in Los Angeles, too. Every time I go to them, I know that it will be a different experience, depending on what my skin needs.”
However, she notes that, above all, her number-one beauty essential will always be a red lip. “A red lip is a commitment. You have to keep it up and you don’t want it to transfer when you are greeting or kissing someone. I like to pre-line my lips with Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat ($22) and then use an Armani Lipstick, with a gloss over the top,” she tells Bazaar.
And nothing goes better with a pop of red than the ultimate dye job. “The amazing colorist Nikki Lee at 901 Salon in West Hollywood took me from brunette to blonde fairly recently and it took around 10 hours to do it properly, but it was worth the work.” But, even a perfect dye job needs some maintenance— she uses Olaplex’s No.3 Hair Perfector ($28) along with a handful of hair-perfecting vitamins to keep her blond from straying.
