I don’t know about you, but for me, Elle Woods was a deeply formative character in my upbringing. From her hot pink suits to her stereotype-breaking smarts and drive, Legally Blonde played a big part in showing me what a powerful, sure-of-herself woman looked like. While the original Legally Blonde movie came out over 20 years ago, the legacy of Elle Woods has never lost its hold.
Luckily for Reese Witherspoon and Elle Woods fans alike, Prime Video recently announced a prequel series, Elle, which will highlight the iconic Elle Woods as a 90s teen before her glory days at Harvard University. To promote the new series, Witherspoon herself posted an oh-so-Elle reel on Instagram, revealing two of the products that she swears by when she’s channeling her inner Elle.
Elle Woods’ Go-To Bronzer and Lipstick Combo
Dressed in a chic, pink skirt set, some chic heels (are those Louboutins I see?), Witherspoon looked simply ageless in her Instagram reel promoting the soon-to-be launched Elle series. But, we couldn’t help but pause on her lipstick touch-up moment in the reel to get a glimpse at the products she’s using for her modern-day Elle Woods.
With Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Matte Bronzer ($58) in hand, Witherspoon applies what appears to be Lancôme’s L’Absolu Rouge Hydrating Cream Lipstick ($35) in shade 238 Si Seulement—a cool, beigey pink. While we can only see the gold encasing of this coral lipstick, we *think* it’s Lancôme’s iconic lippie, but if you’re looking for some other possible Elle Woods options, check out Gucci’s Long-Lasting Satin Lipstick ($47) in shade Mae Coral or Burberry’s Kisses Lipstick ($45) in shade Rebellious Rose.
