It’s that time of year when I swap out my lightweight eye serum for a rich, buttery cream. But, I always make sure it’s a multitasker because I have a few different concerns to tackle: dark circles, fine lines and dry skin. I really noticed these changes creeping in after I had my second daughter—the sleep deprivation with two littles is real. Drunk Elephant C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream addresses my eye-area concerns with ease.
The Benefits of This Eye Cream
To me, the texture of an eye product is everything. If it’s heavy, sticky or greasy, buh-bye. This vegan formula is none of those things. It’s rich, buttery and nourishing, like a big hug for fragile skin around the eyes, and it feels good. But does it perform, you ask? Yes! Thanks to its five forms of non-acidic vitamin C and eight peptides, it brightens and strengthens skin for results you can see. “I wanted people to have something that brightened the hyperpigmented skin around the eyes and was moisturizing,” says founder Tiffany Masterson. I also love that it’s packed with antioxidants and fragrance-free, which is true to Drunk Elephant’s DNA.
In a consumer-perception study, 96 percent of users agreed their skin felt hydrated and 84 percent agreed their skin felt smoother and tone looked more even. Additionally, 81 percent agreed their eye area felt firmer.
Key Ingredients
Vitamin C (sodium ascorbyl phosphate, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, ascorbyl glucoside and ascorbyl palmitate) peptides and cucumber extract
How to Use It
The brand recommends gently patting one pump under and around your eyes in the morning and/or at night. I only need about half a pump to cover both my under-eyes. But, if you’re also applying it above your eye (and perhaps even on your eyelids), you’ll probably want the full pump. One thing this eye cream isn’t designed to do is reduce puffiness, which I also need. But, I cheat a little bit by keeping it in the fridge so it’s cold when I apply it, and therefore a little bit depuffing.
