When it comes to hair care, doctors and researchers alike are constantly finding new information about dangerous ingredients in our products (think: parabens and dimethicone). While clean hair care is slowly becoming the norm in both drugstores and department stores alike, products without harmful chemicals often have a higher price tag, until now.
Last Friday, Dollar General announced their new and affordable line of clean hair care products, Root to End, which is now available at more than 17,000 Dollar General neighborhood stores. Not only are all the products cruelty-free and vegan, but they’re also free of harmful parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, and sulfates.
The line includes 10 essential products for healthy hair, from a volumizing shampoo to a scalp scrub, but a few items have especially caught our eye:
We always swoon over an oil-absorbing dry shampoo, and the Root to End Dry Shampoo ($5) has tickled all our fancies. Made with an amino acid strand reviving complex, this spray claims to blend easily into the hair sans any white cast while providing a boost of volume. We also can’t wait to get our hands on Root to End Styling Curl Defining Cream ($5), the ultimate frizz-tamer for bouncy, soft curls.
To learn more about the product line, Dollar General Days of Beauty is kicking off on March 15 through March 20, and they will be offering live tutorials and discussions on textured hair products, makeup and wellness items, all of which are on sale at your local Dollar General.
