For a long time, I hid my freckles with concealer and foundation, even on beach days, as I thought the natural marks were seen as “flaws” or imperfections. But, with enough soul searching and the help of some of my favorite celebrities who were bold enough to go makeup-free on Instagram, my freckles are now one of my favorite accessories.
Nowadays, freckles are all the rage, with beauty brands even concocting products to help create faux freckles for those without them. As we roll into summer, more and more of our favorite celebrities are taking some much-needed time off and showing followers their authentic, sun-kissed selves, one of which being Demi Lovato. This week, the Heart Attack singer posted a carousel of images from their Hawaiian getaway with fiancé Jutes, in which the star’s makeup-free face and adorable freckles are on full display.

While we’re used to seeing Lovato in full glam on stage or on the red carpet, the singer’s photo dump from their sunny vacation in Kauai gave us a look at their natural complexion, as they posed makeup-free alongside fiancé fellow musician Jordan Lutes—better known as Jutes.
In another cheeky, nose-to-nose selfie with her beau, Lovato’s natural beauty is absolutely radiant, with her Prada sunglasses pulling her hair away from her face and allowing her smooth, glowing complexion to be soaked in. What really caught our eye, though, were Lovato’s bunches of freckles lining their nose and cheeks, proving that the Hawaiian vacation truly brought out her summer shine.
