I love a good beauty product that is effective, but small enough to fit in my purse. If you’re prone to frizzies and flyaways like me, the new Cactus Fruit 3-in-1 Styling Cream + Taming Wand may be your next purse essential. If you’re a fan of dae’s best-selling and viral Styling Cream (also a NewBeauty Award Winner), this is a no-brainer. And if you haven’t tried that product yet, we give it our stamp of approval (so do thousands of TikTokers). Read on to learn more about this brand-new launch and why people are already obsessed.

The Benefits

A fan-favorite in just the short time it’s been on shelves, this taming wand is poised to be dae’s next viral sensation. It’s the same formula as the brand’s full-size Styling Cream, but now it comes with a built-in wand applicator. It’s designed to tame frizz, flyaways and edges in seconds, and it works. The multitasker just became even more multitasking! Plus, it also boasts the brand’s signature summery-citrus scent that so many of us love.

Chock-full of desert-derived ingredients, the formula includes antioxidant-rich dragon fruit and prickly pear seed oil to add moisture and conditioning. This combination makes the hair feel softer and more manageable. Meadowfoam seed oil adds even more moisturizing power and a bit of shine. For someone with dry or thick hair, this combination will be really beneficial. I have fine hair (but a lot of it), so I don’t apply it so liberally.

With the original styling cream, I only apply it from my mid-lengths down. This wand, on the other hand, is meant to be used anywhere you have frizz and flyaways. For me, that is primarily at the root and around my face. The cream does feel slightly heavy for my fine hair at the root. (It’s fine, but I have a lot of it.) However, I’ve learned to wipe off the wand (like I would mascara) if there are any clumps before applying it. A little goes a long way. Also, expect it to give a little bit of slick look, which is ideal for slicked-back buns or taming edges. This is definitely more noticeable on blondes than those with darker hair.

Me, before and after using the wand to tame frizz and flyaways at the root and around my face.
