If you’re a fan of Cindy Crawford, then you would recognize her 1992 Pepsi commercial anywhere. Fast forward to 2021, the now-55-year-old is recreating the iconic advertisement, but with a charitable twist.
Working with esteemed photographer David Yarrow, Crawford writes, “We returned back to the original Halfway House from the famous @pepsi commercial I did in 1992 to recreate the moment (with a David Yarrow twist) in hopes of raising funds for the American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison Wisconsin where my brother was treated for leukemia. So far, with the help of David’s gallery network across the globe supporting the art and its sales, we’ve already raised 1 million dollars for the cause.”
In her caption, Crawford also gives a shoutout to her glam team: hairstylist Peter Savic (he also did her hair for the OG commercial), makeup artist Sam Visser and stylist Nicole Allowitz Skolnik. “I think we nailed it! Such a fun day––I can’t wait to show you more.”
Aside from the Instagram post, Crawford and her team also re-created the entire commercial with the hilarious talkshow host James Corden. With their collective followers and fans, we’re positive the donations will continue to flow.
