Charli XCX is the center of attention right now, with her chart-topping album Brat influencing everything from music playlists to fall fashion. Valentino Beauty has clearly noticed, recently naming the 32-year-old hitmaker as the newest face of the luxury brand, fusing the singer’s bold, unapologetic style with Valentino’s effortlessly cool, high-fashion aesthetic. In a recent interview with Allure, she revealed a few standout products from the brand’s lineup that capture her vibe perfectly—but one, in particular, caught our attention for how often she wears it.
But first, let’s revisit why this partnership is a perfect fit, straight from Charli herself. “I’m kind of really only into working with brands that encourage and amplify individual expression, and that’s obviously something that Valentino Beauty does,” Charlie tells Allure. “I think you can see that from the history of the people that they work with and also their products.”
And self-expression sure is something Charli embodies. Case in point: One of her favorite looks is an imperfectly perfect cat-eye, which she achieves using the brand’s Colorgraph Eyeliner in Rockstud Noir ($38). “I love going in the waterline, kind of pulling it out [towards the temples],” she explains. “If it gets a little smudgy, I’m never mad at that. I always kind of like to look like I’ve been out partying the night before, which in some cases, I have been… but other times, I can rely on my makeup to make it look like that.”
