There’s something really comforting about seeing someone’s out-of-control beauty stash. Celine Dion’s massive collection of products has captivated audiences in the new documentary I Am: Celine Dion. The doc gives a behind-the-scenes look at the star’s day-to-day life amidst a rare neurological disorder called stiff-person syndrome. While cameras follow the 55-year-old star during her emotional and physical journey, it also gives fans an unfiltered glimpse inside her beauty staples. Eagle-eyed content creator Laura Capon slowed down the footage to examine the “unsponsored” beauty products in the star’s bathroom. What she discovered was a mix of high-end and affordable items.
“First of all, Celine knows what candle brand she likes, which is Trudon. These were almost in every single room,” says Capon. “These are really iconic candles, that size would cost you around 95 pounds, but I love it because she really just does have them everywhere. And she also has the room scent.”
High-End Luxuries and Drugstore Gems
Capon then identified drugstore skin-care brands alongside some high-end prestige picks. Starting with the cult classic Laneige lip pot that is so easily identifiable, she says, “I spotted the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, a Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream,” as she goes through the collection. “This pink bottle here is a Dior Prestige serum,” she adds, before highlighting two more powerhouse products: the RéVive Micro-Resurfacing Polish and the 111SKIN Black Diamond serum.
Capon’s keen eye also caught glimpses of a discontinued gem, the Shiseido WASO Beauty Smart Water, cherished for its innovative hydration benefits. “It was so good—this is their beauty smart water I think it was called,” she adds.
Also spotted were more products that fall in line with Dion’s high-low theme. “I spotted the Clinique Moisture Surge down at the front, there appeared to be a Charlotte Tilbury eye cream.” La Roche-Posay Toleriane Cream was placed alongside Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream and another Dior Prestige product. “I honestly would love to talk about beauty with Celine,” said Capon.
Luxury Fragrances on Display
Among the fragrance selections adorning Dion’s vanity were Tom Ford’s private blend perfumes and Louis Vuitton perfumes, but Byredo’s Blanche stands out. “That is a Byredo perfume with the black lid. And I found out what one it is, 100% that is Byredo Blanche, which is my favorite Byredo scent. Not to make it about me, but it just smells like fresh, clean, cottony kind of washing scent. It is spectacular.”
For hair, the iconic Oribe Signature Conditioner and Hairspray are Dion’s current go-tos; however, Capon spotted an old favorite in the documentary that the singer has used from early days. “Celine, I had to include this clip of a young Celine and L’Oréal Elnett. That’s why you don’t change your packaging, because it’s forever iconic.”
