Celebrity Spa Secrets: Giuliana Rancic

Celebrity Spa Secrets: Giuliana Rancic featured image

While juggling a full plate that includes an upcoming seventh season of her reality series Giuliana and Bill, cohosting duties at E! News and spending as much time as possible with her son Duke, Giuliana Rancic admits that finding time for the spa isn’t easy, but it is important. She says, “I like to visit a spa every few months or so for a great massage or facial. Keeping up on beauty maintenance like that just helps me feel fresher, stronger and more beautiful. It’s a great indulgence when the timing works out—I love the relaxation and serenity.”

My First Spa Experience
Giuliana’s love affair with spa-going began at an early age—and it was a family affair. “My first spa experience was as a teenager in Italy. We were on vacation at the Regina Isabella Hotel on the island of Ischia, which is known for its incredible thermal baths and spas. My parents let my cousin and me get a massage and do a special thermal bath. It was amazing and I was hooked.”

Spa Indulgences
“My husband turned me on to Thai Massage. There is a great one offered at Miraval Resort & Spa in Tucson, AZ, called Naga Thai Massage that is the best massage I have ever had. The therapist uses strands of silk suspended from above as an extension of their body. This allows them to take your body into deeper stretches. It’s pretty incredible!” She also recommends trying the Aerial Yoga while you’re there. “It lengthens your muscles and releases tension throughout your entire body using the support of silk hammocks suspended three feet from the ground.”

Customized Facial Bliss
Sonya Dakar in Beverly Hills gives a great facial that is customized just for me and any skin issues I may have. I also use her line of anti-aging skin care. The products are fabulous!”

My Red-Carpet Requirements
“I almost always get a spray tan from Veronique at Infinity Sun. It gives the perfect natural glow without harming my skin. I also always make sure to get a fresh manicure before I hit the red carpet. There’s nothing worse than chipped nails holding a microphone in front of millions of people on live TV!”

The Product I Can’t Live Without
“I am never without my bronzer by Catalina Su. It is simply the best and a quick fix when I look tired.”

My Best-Kept Beauty Secret
“I always carry my makeup bag with me everywhere I go. Never know when an emergency situation (like seeing Bradley Cooper at the market) may arise!”

The Best Beauty Advice I Ever Got
“Always wear sunscreen with at least SPF 30! Not only does is keep your skin looking smooth and youthful, but it is also essential for skin cancer prevention.”

Beauty Advice for My Younger Self
“Don’t use too many face washes and skin cleansers. I used way too many and would often irritate my skin and breakout. Oh, and leave your eyebrows alone! Overplucking is not cute.”
