If anyone knows how to shock the industry, it’s makeup artist Bobbi Brown. After founding Bobbi Brown Cosmetics in 1991, which has now been sold to Estée Lauder Companies, we thought Brown had made her mark, until she announced the launch of Jones Road, a makeup line that binds sophistication with ease. Admittedly, this was one of the best announcements of both 2020 and 2021, but recent news about a brand extension has our emotions running even higher.

According to Vogue, Jones Road’s newest category is skin care and, like its sister makeup line, it’s formulated with clean ingredients. The four-piece collection, which launches today, is made for winter-induced dry skin—Brown says the moisturizer, she calls it a “goo,” was inspired by the protective barrier creams she applies on ski days—and the products are so nourishing, they can soothe anything from dry under-eyes to chalky legs.

“I just want to make good products that people want to use, that make them look better,” says Brown of her new products. First in the lineup is the Jones Road Miracle Cream ($38), which currently has a 20,000 person waitlist, featuring a thick blend of antioxidant-rich shea butter, acne-bashing sunflower seed oil and strengthening vitamin E. While this cream works morning and night, depending on your skin type, Bobbi recommends applying it before face-hits-pillow as a hydrating overnight mask.

Also included is the all-purpose Hippie Stick ($32) that can be used on any part of the body, including the hair. “It’s not trying to be anything more than it is,” says Brown, as she describes its skin-soothing properties. An emollient Eye Cream ($34)— it houses macadamia seed oil and smoothing trehalose—that brightens upon contact also premiers on the lineup, along with The Oil Stick ($26), an apricot-infused portable face oil.

A reported by Vogue, Brown hopes to add “something to take makeup off,” but she doesn’t want to overcrowd the uncomplicated line. “These things just make my skin look really good and feel really good,” she reiterates.
