True Gossip Girl fans will never forget the iconic Serena van der Woodsen quote, “Lipstick lasts longer, but gloss is more fun.” Blake Lively, who famously brought Serena to life on The CW show, just put a modern-day spin on that timeless adage. Ahead of the It Ends With Us premiere on Tuesday, August 6, in New York, Lively swiped on a luxurious lipstick-and-gloss combo to complement her vintage Versace dress. Drumroll, please…

In an Instagram post shared to the Chanel Beauty page, the team revealed that Lively used its Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Ultrawear Liquid Lip Colour in the shade Darling Pink. Makeup artist Kristofer Buckle was behind her glam, and fortunately for us, he broke down her entire red carpet makeup routine beyond her lip combo. But first, let’s bask in the glory of that perfect dual-sided lipstick, featuring liquid lipstick on one side and lip gloss on the other.

But as mentioned, that’s not all. Buckle used a total of 12 Chanel products on his client’s look. On the brand’s Instagram Story, he detailed how he used a few key products to create Lively’s naturally glowy red carpet glam. First, he applied a wash of Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream on her lids, followed by the brand’s N°1 de Chanel Lip and Cheek Balm in the shade Wakeup Pink on the apples of her cheeks and her lips.

A pro tip from Buckle? He applied Chanel’s very-luxe Sublimage L’essence Fondamentale Ultimate Redefining Concentrate “after makeup application for a touch of natural glow,” before finishing with Chanel’s aforementioned double-sided lip color.

Lively has been the talk of the town this week, with excitement building for her upcoming film, It Ends With Us, set to release on Friday, August 9. Besides her latest makeup look, she’s been committed to her floral manicure game while on a press tour for the movie. Why florals? In the film, she plays a character named Lily Bloom, who opens a flower shop, and to stay on theme, Lively has been debuting different flower-themed nail designs.

Every day, she’s stepped out with a different floral manicure. She started the tour with micro-floral garden party nails adorned with gold foil, transitioned into understated watercolor floral tips, followed by “embroidered” floral press-ons, and then buttery-floral nails that she painted herself. See below for a snapshot of her recent looks, and be sure to stay tuned to social media (or NewBeauty) for updates on all of her upcoming looks, too.
