Former Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel just dropped a new swimwear line aimed towards making you look and feel great all summer long. Widely known as the founder of Skinnygirl, the low-calorie alcoholic beverage brand, 51-year-old Frankel’s latest business endeavor has taken her into the world of fashion.
In partnership with HSN, Frankel created her collection of swimwear with inclusivity in mind offering a wide range of sizes from 2 through 24 and featuring styles to suit any preference from bikini to one piece. Frankel appeared on Instagram this week sporting a stunning, emerald green maillot to announce the launch of her “elevated, elegant, sophisticated, shaping swim” line that is specially curated to make “EVERY BODY feel their best.”
The striking suit Bethenney debuted on social media is one of five pieces that have dropped so far. Other styles include V-neck and asymmetrical tops, high-waisted bottoms, and a sleek, mesh one-piece, all of which come in multiple colors and range from $40 to $60.
What makes the launch of this collection so special to Frankel is that this is not the first time she has tried to create her own line of swimwear. The former reality star revealed on social media that she had originally planned to release her own bathing suit collection more than a year ago, but was disappointed when she and her staff tried on the samples to find that they were “ill-fitting garbage.”
Frankel was determined to design a line of swimwear that was both affordable and flattering. She further explained through Instagram stories that pulling the plug on the original line “was not popular” and was incredibly stressful, but she was not willing to sell lesser quality products to women just because they wanted to spend less money.
Though the road to release was bumpy, Frankel is happy to finally showcase a collection that makes you “feel excited to put a bathing suit on” and promises all who shop her collection that “this is a woman who people are going to stop and look at in all shapes, all sizes, because everyone just looks like a 10.”
