For its chip-resistant, long-lasting polishes, expansive shade range and cheeky names, OPI is one of the, if not the, most well-known and popular nail polish brands in the world. I can stare at the nail polish shelves that line a salon wall for easily 10 minutes. But about 95 percent of the time, I’m picking an OPI nail polish—the formulas simply never let me down.

Since 1981, OPI has churned out best-seller after best-seller. So many OPI collections are still iconic to this day. Even so, some shades have a longer shelf life than others. If I had to beg (and I would), these are 13 OPI colors I hope are never discontinued.

Bubble Bath ($7)

Described by the brand as a “sweet candy pink,” we’d also add it’s one of our all-time favorite nude shades. Bubble Bath is sheer and versatile. You can literally wear it with anything or to go anywhere and it works.

Funny Bunny ($9)

Funny Bunny is a go-to for French manicure tips and it plays especially well when layered with other shades. The soft white also looks equally gorgeous when worn alone.

Lincoln Park After Dark ($12)

A classic since the early aughts, the color has been referred to in several ways: “rich purple,” “midnight purple,” “deep plum,” “aubergine.” However you describe it, the moody shade looks elegant, yet edgy, and is especially on-trend in the fall. Also, a great alternative to black.

Big Apple Red ($12)

Inspired by NYC itself, the juicy red is like its namesake, bold, brazen and iconic.

You Don’t Know Jacques! ($12)

Somewhere between a purple gray or a smokey purple lies this trendy taupe that flies off the shelves in the fall months. Its hues are dark and warm all at once, reminiscent of an evening storm.

I’m Not Really a Waitress ($12)

A favorite of the late ’90s, I’m Not Really a Waitress is a deep and shimmering wine-red hue.

Baby, Take a Vow ($12)

Baby, Take a Vow is a classic and pretty nude pink that’s cooler (in tone) and milkier than Bubble Bath.

Barefoot in Barcelona ($12)

Barefoot in Barcelona stands out among others on the list for its mauve, rosy hue that evokes the chicness of its titular city.

Cajun Shrimp ($12)

This color was inspired by a trip to New Orleans—and the Cajun seafood had there—according to brand cofounder Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. The “spicy shade of coral nail polish” has been a go-to summer shade since the 1990s.

This popular neutral is a soft beige with pink undertones and a favorite among those who love a demure, easy manicure.

Black Onyx ($12)

Just like everyone has their go-to LBD, everyone needs a creamy, opaque black nail polish to make a statement. OPI’s Black Onyx has a jet-black shade that’s still classic.

Malaga Wine ($12)

The vino-inspired color is “rich and intoxicating,” per the brand. We love the moody red and its shiny crème finish.
