The who’s who of Hollywood’s acting talent is center stage tonight at the 2024 SAG Awards. The first Screen Actors Guild red carpet following the strike, the vibe is a celebratory one. Not only do we love seeing the celebs from our favorite films and shows get honored, but we also love the head-to-toe glam. Ahead, the best beauty looks from the 30th Annual SAG Awards.
Anne Hathaway
How amazing was it to see the actress on stage presenting alongside Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt? Can we please get a Devil Wears Prada sequel? Celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel styled the actress’s hair using Virtue products and the Shark FlexStyle, taking inspiration from her dress, which is from the 2018 Versace collection. His goal was to “bring out the ‘90s-supermodel vibe with a lot of hair and a lot of movement.”
To achieve the fullness at the crown and bouncy effect, Abergel “applied Virtue Volumizing Mousse from roots to mid-lengths to create memory and bounce right at the root, where it’s most needed.”
Emily Blunt
Nominated for her role in one of the most popular movies of the year, Oppenheimer, Blunt wore her hair in smooth waves, tucked behind her ears to show off her statement jewelry and contoured cheekbones. Celebrity facialist Lord Gavin McLeod-Valentine prepped the actress’s skin using The Method by Augustinus Bader.
Celebrity hairstylist Laini Reeves kept Blunt’s hair smooth and polished using FEKKAI products. “We wanted the hair to look really modern but classical,” says Reeves. “For myself and Emily, what they meant is that we wanted to keep the hair close and tight to the head but have a lovely soft wave to it. We automatically started calling the look a modern Hollywood classic. We also wanted the hair to look super shiny and healthy.”
Blunt’s makeup and skin care were done by celebrity makeup artist Jenn Streicher. “With the daring red Louis Vuitton dress, we wanted make-up to be soft and subtle but still have a ‘WOW’ factor,” Streicher says. “The Eyes To Mesmerize product was perfect for a natural look that still gave maximum impact to the eyes. And the new Hollywood Beauty Icon Lipsticks [she used the shade Red Carpet Pink] are a dreamy texture and gave the perfect nude pout.”
Brie Larson
The actress’s abs deserve their own award tonight, but we also love her soft, blonde waves and peachy makeup look that matched her jaw-dropping, two-piece gown.
Penélope Cruz
The chic bob, the couture CHANEL dress, the razor-sharp jawline: Penelope Cruz can do wrong. Nominated for “Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role” for Ferrari, the actress just about took our breath away on the red carpet.
Reese Witherspoon
Nominated for her role in The Morning Show, the actress wowed in a red, strapless gown and windswept hair. Celebrity makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan prepped Witherspoon’s skin with RéVive Skincare products, starting with the Intensité Volumizing Serum Ultime. “I applied a dime-size amount to the entire face with a flat brush focusing on areas of expression. This luxurious formula visibly plumps the skin and diminishes the look of fine lines.”
She then used Dior makeup, including Rouge Dior 100 Nude Look Velvet, a new shade. “The hydrating formula is packed with shea butter, red peony extract and pomegranate flower extract to ensure soft, nourished lips,” Deenihan wrote on Instagram. “To add a bit more shine, I topped the lips with Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil in 012 Rosewood.”
Celebrity hairstylist Lona Vigi used Fekkai hair products to style Witherspoon’s hair.
Ali Wong
Nominated for “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series” for her role in Beef, Wong turned heads on the red carpet in a show-stopping gown. Celebrity makeup artist Daniel Martin used Tatcha skin-care products to prep the actress’s skin. “Y’all know I can’t get a look done without my Tatcha kit,” Martin wrote on Instagram (he’s the global director of artistry and education for the brand). “Nothing creates a makeup base like this lineup.”
Celebrity hairstylist Clay Hawkins used the Shark Beauty FlexStyle with Styling Concentrator and Living Proof stylers, including “a generous amount of Living Proof Full Thickening Blow-Dry Cream” to create Wong’s look. Once her hair was blown out and smooth, he applied clip-in 26-inch Bellami Silk Seam Hair Extensions to the back for added length.
Joey King
The actress is bringing back the ’90s zig-zag headband trend with this look. She paired it with a strong brow, a shimmery, smoky eye and a bare lip, courtesy of makeup artist Allan Avendano using Dior makeup.
To define her brows, Avendano used Diorshow Brow Styler in 03 Brown. On and around her eyes, he used Diorshow 5 Couleurs, and on her lips, Rouge Dior Contour #200 Nude Touch, and Dior Addict Lip Glow in 028 Minty Glow and Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil in 020 Mahogany on top.
Sheryl Lee Ralph
Sheryl Lee Ralph was glowing in a long, black gown with a corset top. Her Hollywood-glam waves, thick, black eyeliner and juicy lip color complemented her dress to a tee.
Elizabeth McLaughlin
The Hand of God actress stunned in a white gown with plunging neckline that showed off her porcelain skin and red hair. We love her feathery brow, peach lip and perfectly highlighted cheeks.
Issa Rae
First, let’s take a moment to honor those gorgeous, voluminous curls. Now for skin and makeup: “Issa’s dress inspired me to create a hydrated, glowing, mermaid-like look,” says celebrity makeup artist Joanna Simkin. “I prepped Issa’s skin withCHANEL Sublimage L’Essence Fondamentale Yeux The Radiance-Renewing Eye Serum, Sublimage La Crème Texture Universelle Ultimate Cream and Sublimage Le Soin Perfecteur Ultimate Radiance-Enhancing Priming Moisturizer for intense hydration. To give the mermaid-like look, I applied Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick in Mermaid Glow on all high points of the face for a reflective, ethereal glow.”
On her eyes, Simkin used the Les 4 Ombres Coral Treasure Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow in Coral Treasure, and on her cheeks, Roses Coquillage Powder Blush Duo in Roses Coquillage.
Elizabeth Debicki
The Crown’s Elizabeth Debicki is nominated for “Oustanding Actress in a Drama.” She paired her signature long, blonde strands and baby-blue eyes with barely there makeup that let her natural beauty shine. This is giving Elsa from Frozen feels.
“The look was very minimal—straight and sleek—using just OGX oils. We wanted to keep hair moveable, with a healthy shine and brilliance,” says celebrity hairstylist DJ Quintero.
Rachel Brosnahan
Celebrity hairstylist Danielle Priano used SexyHair products and Hidden Crown extensions to complete the hair looks for the actress, who is nominated for “Best Female Actor in a Comedy Series” for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. “Our vision was to craft a hairstyle that radiated modern, effortless elegance. Her dress was bold and dramatic, so we went with a soft and youthful updo to enhance the moment and keep things understated.”
Celebrity makeup artist Lisa Aharon prepped the actress’s skin using DEINDE, a new skin-care brand, and then gave the actress a sultry, smoky eye and rosy lip using Dior makeup. “For Rachel’s SAG Awards look, we pulled inspiration from Rachel’s stunning bronze gown. I wanted to keep the skin slightly matte against the gorgeous dark brown, with black and gold accents on the eye. Flirty lashes, groomed brows and a velvety rose lip completed the look,” says Aharon.
Jennifer Aniston
Nominated for “Outstanding Performance in a Drama Series” for The Morning Show, Aniston looked stunning in a metallic dress that showed off her toned arms and radiant skin. The actress has been bringing back “The Rachel” hairstyle as of late (but a little bit shorter), and we’re here for it.
“My inspiration for Jennifer’s look was the star and the moon, and all the glamour in between,” says celebrity makeup artist Angela Levin, who used CHANEL Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Ultrawear Liquid Lip Colour in Light Rose on the actress’s lips. “I first applied the lip color end with a lip brush onto the outer edges of the lips. Then, I feathered the lip color onto the entire lip. To complete the look, I applied the gloss end of the product onto the lips, to provide the look of dewiness and hydration.”
Aniston is also presenting the SAG Life Achievement Award to Barbra Streisand at the show. “There’s no one who compares to her, and she’s paved the way for so many women,” Aniston said on the People red-carpet pre-show.
Margot Robbie
Showing off her legs in an unexpectedly short gown with Barbie-pink accents, the actress chose to wear her long, blonde hair in loose curls, and paired it with pink eyeshadow and a glossy pink lip.
