Band-Aid has announced via Instagram that it will begin producing “a range of bandages in light, medium and deep shades of Brown and Black skin tones that embrace the beauty of diverse skin.”
“We hear you. We see you. We’re listening to you,” the statement started.

In addition to stating that it “stand in solidarity with our Black colleagues, collaborators and community in the fight against racism, violence and injustice,” the brand shared that it is “committed to taking actions to create tangible change for the Black community” and is “dedicated to inclusivity and providing the best healing solutions, better representing you.”
In addition, the post noted that Band-Aid plans to make a donation to Black Lives Matter, while CNN reported that the parent company, Johnson & Johnson (Band-Aid was invented by a Johnson & Johnson employee 100 years ago) has committed to donating $10 million over the next three years as well.
