Ariana Madix has had an eventful 2024, to say the very least, from launching her sandwich shop, Something About Her, with co-star Katie Maloney, to making her dazzling Broadway debut in Chicago—and beyond. Adding to her ever-growing list of achievements, the Vanderpump Rules star also stepped into the role of co-host for Love Island USA, bringing an array of unforgettable hair, fashion, and makeup moments that captivated audiences nationwide. While it’s hard to pick a favorite, her voluminous blowout in episode 27 left us in awe (and that Rachel Gilbert dress? Absolute perfection). Lucky for us, celebrity hairstylist Carl Bembridge—the creative force behind her Love Island hair—told NewBeauty exactly how to recreate the look at home. How to Get Ariana Madix’s Bombshell Blowout
Madix’s hairstylist started with her freshly washed hair, applying three pumps of Colorwow XL—a lightweight volumizing foam—throughout her roots, mid-lengths, and ends. He then blow-dried her hair using a large round brush, lifting the roots for volume and body. Once it was completely dried, he then clipped in hair extensions for fullness and length, layering them to create dimensional layers that added even more volume and body. One he trimmed and perfected the look of the extensions, he curled her hair with an iron and set the curls in place with his Carl Bembridge Pro Flat clips.
After allowing her hair to cool for 10 to 15 minutes, Bembridge removed all the clips and sprayed Color Wow’s Style on Steroids while shaking her curls out. (The product “adds that lived-in texture which holds the hair and gives it that extra oomph,” says Bembridge.) For even more drama in the volume department, he teased Madix’s roots with his Carl Bembridge Elite Hairbrush before shaping and placing the hair until it was perfectly photo-ready. Aptly named the Bemb-Shell Blowout, this look is as show-stopping as it sounds, and with a last name like Bembridge, how could he resist?

To finish, Bembridge spritzed Madix’s bombshell blowout with Color Wow’s iconic Cult Favorite Hairspray to ensure it stayed perfectly in place in the Fiji heat. He then added Extra Mist-icle Spray for extra shine. The result? Absolute lustrous perfection, wouldn’t you agree?
